Get Zoé back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund
Zoé drives for a living in Toulouse, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 4 weeks.
🇫🇷 Toulouse, Occitanie, France668 views
I make my living with my ride-share car. 4 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Labor charges: $370
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $185
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $845

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Zoé.
It's all in the list in the story. labor charges is the big one at $370, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
best of luck, Zoé. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Jodhpur but we're thinking of you. God bless.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Toulouse.
