Get Serenity back on the road: my taxi repair fund
Without my taxi Serenity can't work; a $900 repair would put her back on the road.
🇺🇸 California, United States814 views
I make my living with my taxi. 6 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $900. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $900 goes:
• Labor charges: $170
• gearbox replacement (parts): $560
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $170
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
