Get Nova back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund

Without my tuk-tuk Nova can't work; a $1,400 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 3 weeks ago the radiator and cooling system failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,400 goes: • radiator and cooling system replacement (parts): $740 • Labor charges: $240 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $280 • Towing and inspection: $140 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Nova

  • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Grand Rapids.
