I make my living with my motorbike. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.

• Road tax and insurance renewal: $115
• Labor charges: $365

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Madelyn.
Sure. The biggest one is engine head gasket replacement (parts), $920. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
