Get Kwesi back on the road: my food truck repair fund

Without my food truck Kwesi can't work; a $250 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $250 goes: β€’ suspension replacement (parts): $165 β€’ Labor charges: $25 β€’ Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 β€’ Towing and inspection: $15 Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Sending love, Kwesi. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Madina.

    • Keep going. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.

You're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. Love from London.
