Get Fernanda back on the road: my delivery van repair fund
Fernanda drives for a living in Alcalá de Henares, and a broken clutch assembly has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Spain1,955 views
I make my living with my delivery van. 5 weeks ago the clutch assembly failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $165
• clutch assembly replacement (parts): $710
• Labor charges: $275
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

good luck, Fernanda. I hope things turn around soon. All the best.
you're not alone, Fernanda. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Fernanda
Sure. The biggest one is road tax and insurance renewal, $165. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
Small businesses are the heart of Alcalá de Henares. Hope you're open again soon. Thinking of Alcalá de Henares.
Sending strength. Hope the shop reopens soon. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Alcalá de Henares.
