Get Divya back on the road: my motorbike repair fund
Divya drives for a living in Minneapolis, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 5 weeks.
🇺🇸 United States1,618 views
I make my living with my motorbike. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $870
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $150
• Towing and inspection: $180
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
