Get Derek back on the road: my school-run minibus repair fund
Without my school-run minibus Derek can't work; a $650 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my school-run minibus. 12 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $650. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $650 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $210
• Towing and inspection: $135
• Labor charges: $305
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Derek.
It's all in the list in the story. road tax and insurance renewal is the big one at $210, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Good question.
Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Padua.
Sending good thoughts, Derek. Your post was clear and honest.
thinking of you and your family, Derek. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
