Get Derek back on the road: my ride-share car repair fund
Derek drives for a living in Albany, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 8 weeks.
🇺🇸 United States3,208 views
I make my living with my ride-share car. 8 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $990
• Labor charges: $370
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $175
• Towing and inspection: $65
Thanks for reading all this.
