I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $200 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $135 • Labor charges: $45 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $20 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Christian

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Ikeja this morning. All the best.

    • Wishing you peace, Christian. Hope you get there. I hope September is when things finally get easier. Blessings.

      • Wishing you peace, Christian. Small businesses are the heart of Makati. Hope you're open again soon. After 22 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Makati!

        • Keep going. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

          • Keep going, Christian. Hope this works out for you.
