Get Alice back on the road: my motorbike repair fund
Alice drives for a living in Newcastle upon Tyne, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 12 weeks.

I make my living with my motorbike. 12 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $450. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $450 goes:
• Towing and inspection: $50
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $220
• Labor charges: $180
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

hope things get better soon, Alice. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
sending good thoughts, Alice. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Bogra so I could bring a meal. All the best
Thanks for sharing this, Alice. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Soweto so I could bring a meal.
Best of luck, Alice. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Put this on a community board in Charlotte this morning. Love from Charlotte.
