Newport
I make my living with my pickup. 6 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,750. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,750 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $1,150 • Labor charges: $350 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $140 • Towing and inspection: $110 Glad we found this place.

Updates from Alamin

  1. Thank you all. We're at 27% now ($478). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Update from Newport: the plan for towing and inspection is now scheduled. We're at 13% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

Wishing you peace, Alamin. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Los Angeles but we're thinking of you. Take care.
