When my hours were cut in half in February, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $655.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I've 1 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.

• First month of rent as a buffer: $90
• Utilities in arrears: $5

I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Wish I lived closer to Atlanta so I could bring a meal. God bless.
What's already covered and what's the $655 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (4 months) comes first ($560) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
