I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $400 goes: • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $280 • Labor charges: $50 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $45 • Towing and inspection: $25 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Gabriel

  • I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Wish I lived closer to Lahore so I could bring a meal.

    • Thinking of you, Gabriel. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Makati this morning. Love from Makati.

          • Best of luck. Small businesses are the heart of Mohammedia. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
