Funeral costs for José's wife, Valentina
After the sudden passing of Valentina, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Valentina, my wife, passed away on 5 July after a sudden heart attack. She was 35 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 19 July.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Valentina to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Olinda hospice.
Where the $1,800 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,200
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $380
• Transport of the deceased: $60
• Memorial gathering for the family: $160
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

any update on how things are going in Olinda?
Wishing you the best. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Olinda
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for José.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. funeral home services and casket comes first ($1,200) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Ask me anything else.
Good luck, José. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
you're not alone, José. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best
