Funeral costs for Donatella's grandfather, Carlo
Donatella lost her grandfather suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $1,700.

Carlo, my grandfather, passed away on 2 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 52 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 14 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Carlo to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Funeral home services and casket: $980
