Florian is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Toronto University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,250. The registrar has said Florian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Florian has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Florian would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Florian isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Toronto University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $5,250 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,700 • Final term tuition: $2,050 • Exam and lab fees: $185 • Textbooks and materials: $315 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
