Flood in Moscow: help the families of Riverside Lane rebuild
Neighbors in the families of Riverside Lane are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the families of Riverside Lane on 22 May. My home was one of 24 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $650
• Food parcels for displaced families: $570
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $430
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Venice.
