Flood in Hải Phòng: help the Marketplace district rebuild
The flood damaged 47 homes in the Marketplace district. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit the Marketplace district on 10 June. My home was one of 47 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $370
• Clean water and purification supplies: $130
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $210
• Food parcels for displaced families: $320
• Tools and labor for repairs: $320
Every share and every dollar helps.

You're not alone. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Glasgow so I could bring a meal. Take care.
Hope you get there. Don't give up. Love from Toronto.

Best of luck. Great idea, hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
