Flood in Curitiba: help the Harbor neighborhood rebuild
Neighbors in the Harbor neighborhood are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇧🇷 Paraná, Brazil498 views
The flood hit the Harbor neighborhood on 2 July. My home was one of 24 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $210
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $220
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,570
Every share and every dollar helps.

Good luck, Daniel. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Take care
