Flood in Chiang Mai: help the Eastgate district rebuild
Neighbors in the Eastgate district are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.
🇹🇭 Chiang Mai, Thailand2,042 views
The flood hit the Eastgate district on 26 June. My home was one of 78 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $460
• Clean water and purification supplies: $125
• Roofing sheets and timber: $740
• Food parcels for displaced families: $175
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

rooting for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Chiang Mai.
Stay strong, Jiraporn. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 39 people at work. Love from Envigado.
Hang in there, Jiraporn. More neighborhoods should do this. Blessings.
