Flash flood in Aswan: help the families of Eastgate Lane rebuild
Neighbors in the families of Eastgate Lane are rebuilding after the flash flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flash flood hit the families of Eastgate Lane on 31 July. My home was one of 13 damaged, and 12 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $750 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $125
• Tools and labor for repairs: $390
• Food parcels for displaced families: $235
Thank you for reading my story.

You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. Thinking of Aswan.
you're not alone, Nabil. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up
I hope things turn around soon. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best
