Yann was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Yann is 41, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Boulogne-Billancourt Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $270 • Scans and lab work: $970 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,510 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
