Fighting thyroid cancer: help Hossain afford treatment in Chennai

In July I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My oncology team at Chennai Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in September. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 53, I worked as a bus conductor until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Chennai Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $700 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $140
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $460
• Transport to Chennai Regional Medical Center: $100

Small update. $78 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($68 in total) I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
