Michele was diagnosed with stomach cancer in February. The oncology team at the Rome Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Michele is 34, worked as a bakery worker until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Rome Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
