Fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer: help Mattias afford treatment in Stockholm

12 rounds of treatment are planned at Stockholm Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Anywhere in the world377 views
Mattias was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in May. The oncology team at Stockholm Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Mattias is 27, worked as a primary school teacher until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Stockholm Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $4,150 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,550 • Transport to Stockholm Regional Medical Center: $1,050 • Scans and lab work: $550 Every share and every dollar helps. - Sigrid
