Keith was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in June. The oncology team at Mississauga Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Keith is 35, worked as a shop owner until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mississauga Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $12,400 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,150 • Transport to Mississauga Regional Medical Center: $1,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $840 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,160 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
