Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Nora afford treatment in Durham
Supporting Nora through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to Durham Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.

Nora was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at Durham Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Nora is 57, worked as a taxi driver until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Durham Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $12,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,500
• Scans and lab work: $910
• Transport to Durham Cancer Centre: $1,300
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $740
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,200
