Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Arief afford treatment in Bekasi
Arief is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Arief was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at Bekasi Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Arief is 35, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bekasi Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $630
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to Bekasi Cancer Centre: $155

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the biggest at $630. Good question.
