Fighting stage 2 breast cancer: help Andrew afford treatment in New York
Andrew is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Andrew was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at New York University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Andrew is 37, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to New York University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $13,750 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,250
• Scans and lab work: $1,900
• Transport to New York University Hospital: $1,000
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $690
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,910
