Fighting prostate cancer: help Abhishek afford treatment in Chennai
Abhishek is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Abhishek was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January. The oncology team at Chennai University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Abhishek is 52, worked as a nurse until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Chennai University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
• Transport to Chennai University Hospital: $140
