Quezon City
Kathleen was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in December. The oncology team at Quezon City University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Kathleen is 31, worked as a primary school teacher until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Quezon City University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,650 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000 • Scans and lab work: $120 • Transport to Quezon City University Hospital: $155 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75 • Household costs while unable to work: $300 Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Corazon

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($561 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($421 in total) I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
