John is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

John was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at the Lexington Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
John is 43, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lexington Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,650 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,050
• Scans and lab work: $1,050
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,650
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $900
