Bappy was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at Coimbatore Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Bappy is 28, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Coimbatore Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $950 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $135 • Scans and lab work: $210 • Transport to Coimbatore Cancer Centre: $145 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $460 Every share and every dollar helps. - Taslima
