Andile was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in August. The oncology team at the Durban Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Andile is 24, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Durban Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $500 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $200 • Scans and lab work: $160 • Transport to the Durban Oncology Institute: $140 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
