Fighting multiple myeloma: help Wendy afford treatment in San Jose
Supporting Wendy through multiple myeloma: medication, transport to San Jose Cancer Centre, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 United States1,055 views
Wendy was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in September. The oncology team at San Jose Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Wendy is 47, worked as a bakery worker until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Jose Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Transport to San Jose Cancer Centre: $600
• Scans and lab work: $1,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,100
Glad we found this place.
