Fighting kidney cancer: help Gianna afford treatment in Aurora
Supporting Gianna through kidney cancer: medication, transport to Aurora Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 Aurora, Illinois, United States1,465 views
In July I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. My oncology team at Aurora Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 45, I worked as a bus conductor until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Aurora Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $10,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,000
• Scans and lab work: $1,150
• Transport to Aurora Regional Medical Center: $540
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,090
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

hope things get better soon. Hope the doctors have good news. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
it takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
