Gabriel was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at Leeds Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Gabriel is 57, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Leeds Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,250 • Scans and lab work: $580 • Transport to Leeds Cancer Centre: $810 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $450 • Household costs while unable to work: $710 Glad we found this place. - Henry
