Fighting Hodgkin lymphoma: help João afford treatment in São Paulo
João is facing Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

João was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in December. The oncology team at São Paulo University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
João is 44, worked as a taxi driver until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for João!
Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is $165 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
