Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Wyatt afford treatment in Aurora
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Aurora Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇺🇸 United States307 views
Wyatt was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at Aurora Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Wyatt is 44, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Aurora Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $10,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,750
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $540
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,500
• Transport to Aurora Cancer Centre: $560
Thanks for reading all this.

Wishing you peace, Megan. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Thika this morning. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.
Hang in there, Megan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Aurora
