Matilde was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in September. The oncology team at Rome University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in December. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Matilde is 45, worked as a shop owner until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rome University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,250 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $1,200 • Transport to Rome University Hospital: $760 • Scans and lab work: $860 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $430 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Riccardo
