Patrice was diagnosed with colon cancer in January. The oncology team at the Mandeville Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Patrice is 34, worked as a taxi driver until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mandeville Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,150 goes: • Transport to the Mandeville Oncology Institute: $165 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $115 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,870 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
