Luis was diagnosed with colon cancer in July. The oncology team at Santa Fe Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Luis is 48, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Santa Fe Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
