Fighting colon cancer: help Kausar afford treatment in Faisalabad
Kausar is facing colon cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan1,260 views
In August I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at the Faisalabad Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in November. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 58, I worked as a hairdresser until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Faisalabad Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $520
• Scans and lab work: $160
• Transport to the Faisalabad Oncology Institute: $75
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60
• Household costs while unable to work: $235
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you the best. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Faisalabad!
Wishing you the best, Kausar. Hope this works out for you
look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I'll check back for the next update. God bless
Good luck, Kausar. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't give up
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out!
