Fighting cervical cancer: help Mousumi afford treatment in Dhaka
4 rounds of treatment are planned at the Dhaka Oncology Institute; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Mousumi was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at the Dhaka Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Mousumi is 47, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Dhaka Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $820
• Scans and lab work: $155
• Transport to the Dhaka Oncology Institute: $90
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $40
• Household costs while unable to work: $245
