8 rounds of treatment are planned at Málaga University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Mateo was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Málaga University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Mateo is 42, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Málaga University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,400 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,900 • Scans and lab work: $670 • Transport to Málaga University Hospital: $500 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,040 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
