Fighting cervical cancer: help Galih afford treatment in Surakarta
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Surakarta University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇮🇩 Indonesia1,171 views
Galih was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at Surakarta University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Galih is 28, worked as a taxi driver until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Surakarta University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $480
• Scans and lab work: $240
• Transport to Surakarta University Hospital: $175
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55
• Household costs while unable to work: $200
Every share and every dollar helps.
