Amani runs a volunteer pantry feeding 344 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 344 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 59% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mwanza market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $200 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Refrigeration and electricity: $25
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
