Feed 325 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in Belfast
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in Belfast is running low just as demand rises; $2,000 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 325 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 18 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Belfast market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,050
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $550
• Baby formula and diapers: $230
• Refrigeration and electricity: $170
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Saint-Denis this morning. All the best
Sending love, Jack. This could happen to any of us. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too
You're not alone, Jack. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Puebla.
