Feed 265 families each week at Neighbors' Pantry in Mecca
The Neighbors' Pantry pantry in Mecca is running low just as demand rises; $950 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 265 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 47% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mecca market and keep every receipt.
Each $30 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $610
• Refrigeration and electricity: $130
• Baby formula and diapers: $210
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope it all works out, Nada. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My husband and I read this together. All the best
Hope things get better soon, Nada. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Love from Latina.
So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Pune.
